A faith-driven, homeschooling family farm rooted in the Ozark hills of Missouri — raising wholesome food and living the homesteading life.
Why We Farm
Griffith Springs Farm was born from a simple belief: food should be raised in harmony with the land. Nestled along County Road 2410 in Mountain View, Missouri, our farm is blessed with some of the most beautiful rolling pastures in the Ozarks — fed by natural springs, a free-flowing creek, and water that we believe traces back to the springs running beneath our land.
We raise meat chickens on open pasture — moved daily to fresh ground in the style of Joel Salatin's Polyface Farm. This rotational method builds soil, gives animals a life worth living, and produces food with real nutritional depth. Everything we do is modeled on working with nature rather than against it.
Our egg layers are growing up as chicks and pullets this year. Grass-fed beef is coming as our herd develops. Blueberries are being planted for you-pick seasons down the road. The springs and creek that run through our property are a gift — clean, living water that sustains the land and the animals on it. This is a farm being built with intention, one season at a time.
Faith, Family & the Call to Steward the Land
At the heart of everything we do is our faith in God. We believe He has entrusted this land and these animals to our care, and we take that stewardship seriously. Every morning we work the pasture, we are reminded of His provision and faithfulness. Our faith is not separate from our farming — it is our farming. We work with the creation He designed, honoring the rhythms and order He built into the natural world.

A Homesteading Family
We are a homeschooling family, and our children are our greatest farming partners. From moving chicken shelters to gathering eggs, they are learning the rhythm of the land alongside their books. We believe that connection to real food, real work, and God's creation is among the most important education they will ever receive. This farm is not just a business — it is how we live.
Our Practices
Rotational Grazing
Animals are moved to fresh pasture regularly, preventing overgrazing and allowing the land to rest and regenerate.
No Chemical Inputs
We avoid synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides — letting nature do the work of building healthy soil.
Closed-Loop System
Animal impact fertilizes pastures naturally, creating a self-sustaining cycle that improves with each season.

We choose hardy breeds suited to outdoor life in the Ozarks, ensuring animal welfare and exceptional product quality.
Inspired by Polyface Farm
We draw deep inspiration from Joel Salatin and Polyface Farm in Virginia. His philosophy of working with nature rather than against it — moving animals in rotation, building soil, treating the land as a living system — guides everything we do at Griffith Springs Farm. We are students of that model, applying it to our own corner of the Ozarks.
